BOMBAY TO TAIPEI IN UNDER AN HOUR!

Our Travel writer talks about his adventures to London's cultural side

As a wanderlust travel blogger on a budget, sometimes jetting off to far-flung regions of the world can seem almost impossible. With flights costing as much as a small mortgage, the prospect of breaking the monotonous every day routine and experiencing what the world has to offer is simply not realistic.

However...

Living in London comes with its benefits, one of which is that it is the most multi-cultural city on earth. With over 300 nationalities contributing to the diversity and liveliness on the streets, London has become what can only be referred to as a cultural melting pot! London's streets are steeped in culture, which makes eating out all the more exciting.

As a Londoner you can find gastronomical delicacies from all over the world within a 10-mile radius! From Turkish delights to Korean barbecue and even down to the simple Russian borscht, London has it all!

More over, London plays host to a huge amount of different cultural events and festivals taking place throughout the year. For example, the Notting Hill Carnival. This is an event in which you can see one of London's most prestigious neighbourhoods explode with music and colour. Or if the large crowds aren't your thing, then you can enjoy a number of shows in the many different international cinemas and theatres all over the city. My personal favourite is the Cervantes theatre which offers a range of Spanish and Latin American plays and social events in both English and Spanish. it is a truly authentic experience for anyone who is interested in anything Spanish.
